Why Superconduct? Isn’t that something to do with science?
In physics, a superconductor is a material that carries electricity with zero resistance. No friction. No energy lost. It flows freely, powerfully, and efficiently. That idea stuck with us when we set out to define the kind of agency we wanted to be. One that brings momentum to everything we do. Strategy, creativity, design. And one that removes the friction to make great work happen. Also, having ‘super’ in our name is rather super! Think Superman, Superdry, or Super Mario. It works.
How we work and why the name matters
It is never easy to look at your own brand and pin down exactly what makes it tick. As the saying goes, it is hard to read the label from inside the jar. That is where our philosophy, manifesto, and a good outside perspective helped sharpen our thinking.
We chose Superconduct as a metaphor for the way we work:
- Creative energy with no resistance
- Ideas that captivate and inspire
- Authentic design that connects and sparks real change
In the studio, the pace is high with a genuine enthusiasm for the industry we work in and the craft we love. We are here because we care about great design and the difference it makes. That passion runs through every project we take on, and it is why Superconduct felt right for us. What has been great over the last year is how our new direction has been received. We have been busy with new work and have reconnected with some old contacts, which is exactly the impact we were looking for. It has been supersonic!
The creative industry is changing, but our drive is not
Creative industries do not stand still. Technology moves fast. AI is changing the game. But some things remain constant. The power of human creativity. The instinct to think in ways machines cannot. That is where we come in. Our job is to bring momentum, originality, and bold thinking to the table, even when the world shifts beneath our feet. We will always push forward, adopting new tools, adapting to new landscapes, and staying ahead. But the heart of what we do — creative thinking that connects people — will never change. That is where the real value lives.
One year in, and what comes next
Almost a year since we introduced Superconduct, the name has become shorthand for how we work. Fast, purposeful, always pushing forward. It has started conversations, opened doors, and set a standard we intend to keep raising. And we are only just getting going. With new projects, fresh ideas, and plenty more to share, there is much more ahead.
