By leveraging the last 24 months of an individual’s banking transactions, TruCheck crafts detailed affordability reports that offer insights into income, expenditure, and spending habits, thus enabling landlords and lenders to make more informed decisions regarding applicants’ financial reliability.
The challenge for TruCheck was not just to introduce a novel service in a crowded market but to create a brand identity that communicated this innovative approach effectively. They needed a brand that resonated with investors and businesses alike, transforming their groundbreaking concept into a compelling narrative. The brief was concise yet demanding: forge an identity that would distinguish TruCheck in the fintech space, positioning it as the superior alternative to conventional credit checks, and highlighting its unique ability to provide a fuller picture of financial health.
At the core of our strategy was the concept of light and transparency. This principle not only underpins TruCheck’s service—offering a clear, unobstructed view of an applicant’s financial standing—but also became the cornerstone of our brand identity. Embracing transparency, we conceptualised and produced visuals centred around glass panels. These transparent elements symbolised the clarity and openness that TruCheck brings to financial vetting, serving as a powerful metaphor for the unobscured insights provided by their service.
The thematic use of glass panels was woven throughout the entire brand identity, from marketing materials to digital platforms, establishing a coherent visual language that could be recognised and remembered. Notably, these glass panel shapes were also integrated into the logo mark, surrounding a letter ‘T’ and forming an asterisk shape to represent additional insights. The transparent motif was not just a design choice but a narrative tool, echoing the brand’s commitment to honesty and clarity in financial assessments.
